JCPR was founded by Muhammad Nizam Hj Khamis, better known in the scene as Jiman Casablancas, in 2017 and registered officially in 2019. Since its inception, the agency has been commissioned to manage PR and Communications for high-profile companies and blue-chip lifestyle accounts such as BAD LAB, Dutch Lady Malaysia, NuMee Gardenia, Red Bull – a product of Europe, BAT, Alif Cooking Oil, Rainforest Fringe Festival Kuching, INCEIF – The Global University of Islamic Finance, Royal Tanjung Modest Fashion Gala, The Bee Publika, IMAN Research, Cofundr, Putrajaya LIFT Festival by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, MILDEF, MedKad Malaysia, CNCRD and the list goes on.
A trained lawyer, Jiman jumped ship into Public Relations in 2010 when he decided to join the PR arm of G2, a global advertising agency based in KL. His immense belief in the power of storytelling has led him to organize two workshops/sharing sessions in 2019 with Zul Andra and Syed Azmi Alhabshi – a respected writer and magazine editor from Singapore and a human rights activist respectively, under the banner Trigger Thoughts by JCPR. A regular guest on various BFM89.9 shows, he was also invited by BFM in 2019 as a panel speaker for BFM Rocks – an annual gathering of Malaysia’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
In 2022, he was appointed as Editor-in-Chief of Common Affairs (commonaffairs.co), a niche digital news platform under Austral Media. With his penchant for writing, online and offline influence in various industries, and unmistakable personal style, Jiman has managed to steer Common Affairs as a strong new player in the Malaysian media scene
JCPR and Austral Media have recently become a partner, which will see the two companies merge to form a new exposure. This strategic partnership is aimed at combining the strengths and expertise of both companies to better serve their clients and meet the demands of the rapidly evolving media landscape.
